New chapter, new office

In 2022 I lost my beautiful mom to a terrible cancer battle.

It felt way before her time.

My grief didn’t allow me to do some of the things I can do now. A year later, one of the things I was able to do now was to bring her into my daily presence.

I moved into a new office and updated the bookshelf.

On the bookshelf behind me you can see books from my mother, my grandmother, and some of my own.

They are all books abut being resourceful.

On the shelves you can find everything from how to bake a cake to how to fly a plane and even read some children’s books in between.

Bluebirds of happiness sitting on the resourceful bookshelf.

This physical reminder is now such a comfort to me that I can enjoy day to day. It makes me happy rather than sad to have her daily influence in my life in this positive way.

I hope you can draw on the spirit and power of your ancestors. Maybe this gives you an idea of a way to bring them into your visual field to comfort you every day even if they’re no longer with you.
